ACCELERATE YOUR HEALING JOURNEY

EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy Intensives

Therapy intensives offer deep, transformative work in a focused, supportive environment. Move beyond years of talk therapy in days.

Therapy intensive sessions combine the proven effectiveness of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with the compassionate framework of Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you process trauma, heal attachment wounds, and reclaim your life.

I offer in-person intensives in San Francisco and online intensives for clients elsewhere. I also occasionally offer therapy intensives in person in the greater Bay Area and New York City. Please schedule a consultation call with me to discuss.

WHAT ARE THERAPY INTENSIVES?

Unlike traditional weekly sessions, therapy intensives offer extended, uninterrupted time to work through complex trauma, PTSD, and deep-rooted negative emotions that cause troubling symptoms. By dedicating focused days to your healing, you create momentum that weekly sessions simply cannot match.

In an intensive, you will have the space to go deeper, process more completely, and experience breakthroughs that might take months or years in traditional therapy. This concentrated approach is especially powerful for those who feel stuck; need to address specific traumatic experiences; have tried weekly therapy before without lasting results; or want to augment their work in traditional therapy.

The combination of EMDR and IFS is uniquely powerful: EMDR helps reprocess traumatic memories and reduce their emotional charge, while IFS helps you understand and heal the different parts of yourself that developed to protect you from pain. EMDR processes the memories. IFS heals the parts that carry them. This integrated approach can create deeper, more sustainable healing and transformation.

My therapy intensives are designed for individuals who:

  • Carry the weight of complex trauma or PTSD and are ready to find relief

  • Struggle with patterns rooted in childhood or attachment wounds

  • Feel stuck despite previous therapy experiences

  • Want focused, accelerated healing without the start-stop nature of weekly sessions

  • Are facing a specific traumatic event or series of events they are ready to process

  • Need significant progress before a life transition or major decision

  • Live far away and prefer to travel for concentrated treatment

  • Have demanding schedules that make weekly therapy difficult to sustain

INTENSIVE FORMATS:

Single-Day Intensive (4-8 hours)

Ideal for addressing a specific traumatic event, breaking through a therapeutic impasse, or jumpstarting deeper work. A single-day intensive provides the focused time needed for significant processing and integration.

Best for:

  • Targeting a specific trauma or memory

  • Clients already in therapy who need a breakthrough session

  • Those exploring whether intensive therapy is right for them

Multi-Day Intensive (2-4 days)

Multi-day intensives offer the space for profound transformation. With consecutive days of focused work, you can address complex trauma, multiple traumatic events, or deeply rooted patterns with the continuity that creates lasting change.

Best for:

  • Complex PTSD and developmental trauma

  • Multiple traumatic experiences requiring processing

  • Deep attachment wounds and relational patterns

  • Clients seeking comprehensive healing in a concentrated timeframe

Each day includes therapeutic processing time, integration breaks, and support for your nervous system as you do this important work.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Before Your Intensive

We will have a consultation call to understand your goals and what you hope to achieve. This helps us tailor the intensive to your specific needs and ensures you are prepared for the depth of the work.

During Your Intensive

Each session is designed with your nervous system in mind. We move at your pace, honoring your capacity while creating the conditions for deep healing. You will experience:

  • Focused EMDR processing of traumatic memories

  • IFS work to connect with and heal wounded parts

  • Nervous system regulation and grounding techniques

  • Integration time to process what's emerging

  • Compassionate support throughout the entire experience

This isn't about pushing through—it's about creating the safety your system needs to heal.

After Your Intensive

Healing continues after our time together. You will leave with integration support, specific tools for ongoing self-care, and a clear understanding of your next steps. Many clients continue with periodic intensive sessions or transition to less frequent maintenance therapy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I know if I'm ready for an intensive?

If you're feeling stuck, carrying trauma that interferes with your life, or ready to commit to deep healing work, you may be ready. We will discuss your specific situation during our consultation to determine if an intensive is the right fit.

Will this be overwhelming?

We work at a pace your nervous system can handle. The intensive format allows for better nervous system regulation because we can pause, integrate, and adjust in real-time. You are in control throughout the process.

Do I need previous therapy experience?

No. While some clients come to intensives after previous therapy, many choose intensives as their primary treatment. What matters most is your readiness to engage in the work.

How much does it cost?

Investment varies based on the format and length of your intensive. Please contact me for detailed pricing and to discuss which option best fits your needs and goals.

Will my insurance cover this?

No. Most insurance plans do not cover the therapy intensive format. We will discuss payment options during your consultation.

What if I need support after my intensive?

You will have integration support following your intensive, and many clients choose periodic follow-up intensives or transition to less frequent ongoing sessions. We'll create an aftercare plan that fits your needs.

How do I prepare?

I provide detailed preparation guidance during your consultation. Generally, this includes arranging time off work, planning for rest and integration afterward, and ensuring you have support in place.

READY TO BEGIN?

You've carried this weight long enough. It's time to heal.
